Ingredients
For the Cake
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Filling
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a jellyroll pan with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a bowl.
- Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy in a separate bowl. Add vanilla extract.
- Fold in dry ingredients and mix to combine.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 12 minutes.
- Roll the cake in a kitchen towel while warm. Let it cool rolled up.
- Whisk together heavy cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Unroll the cake, spread the chocolate filling, and roll it back up.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice and serve. Enjoy!
