Chili Wendys Style

Love this amazingly tasty chili from Wendy’s? Well from today, cook it in the comfort of your own home!

 

* Ingredients:

°  2 lb ground beef

°  1 can tomato sauce

° 1 can kidney beans, rinsed

° 1 can pinto or black beans

° 1 cup diced onion

° 1/2 green pepper, diced

° 1 can diced tomatoes (reserve the juice)

° 2 teaspoons ground cumin

° 3 tablespoons chili powders

° 1 teaspoon black pepper

° 1/4 teaspoon salt

° tomato juice from the can and add water to reach 2 cups


* Preparation:

STEP 1

Brown the ground beef over medium heat then remove the fat. With a fork, separate the meat the size of a pea. In a large dish, place the cooked beef and all other ingredients. Simmer over low heat for 2 or 3 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.

 

2ND STEP

Tips Can be garnished with chopped onion and cheddar cheese. About  a spicy chili, add 1/3 tsp. black pepper. For an even hotter chili, add 1 tsp. black pepper and 1 tsp. cayenne pepper. And for iron stomachs, add 5 or 6 slices of jalapeno peppers to the baking dish. Remains can be frozen to divers months.
