Homemade Dipped Spicy Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

For Spicy Dip

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Toss the peeled and deveined shrimp in the spice mixture until coated.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the shrimp to the hot skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp and gently toss to incorporate the herbs.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  7. Whisk together the ketchup, Sriracha sauce, lemon juice, honey, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  8. Transfer the red spicy dip to a serving bowl.
  9. Arrange the cooked spicy shrimp on a serving platter.
  10. Serve the shrimp alongside the homemade red spicy dip.
  11. Garnish with lemon wedges for those who want an extra citrus kick.
